How To Create A LinkedIn Signature In Outlook

Here's how to add a LinkedIn signature to your Outlook emails:

In LinkedIn, go to

Profile > Edit Profile

and click on the little wheel:

Scroll down on the right hand side and click on:

Copy the HTML in the badge that suits the type of signature you'd like to have:

Now you need to manually edit your Outlook signature. Unfortunately it’s not possible to do this in my version of Outlook’s signature editor so you may have to do it manually, here’s how.

In Outlook go to File -> Options -> Mail -> Signatures.
Find the signature you need to modify:

In Windows Explorer find C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures\your-signature-name (Note that the AppData folder is hidden by default so you might need to select show hidden folders).

Right click to edit this with an editor. Use NotePad if you don’t have a HTML editor.

Place the pasted LinkedIn HTML into your signature.

Your HTML should have something like this near the end:

Save the file and that’s it!  The LinkedIn button should appear in your signature.
