1. Obtain the domain name that is being hosted from the client in an email. Do not get it over the phone. A small spelling mistake in a site name means an expensive reorder of the site.
2. Go to http://www.bluecentral.com.au/
3. Go to Products & Services / Web Hosting / Shared Hosting / Standard / Order Now button
4. Login with the Yart reseller name.
5. Order
- .Net hosting
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005
6. Press the Calculate button at the bottom of the form. The price at the time of writing was $44.25 setup, $416.25 yearly. Yours should be similar.
7. Click continue and complete the section Yes, I already have a domain name registered with your domain name.
8. Finish the order.
CREATING A WEBSITE IN AN EXISTING ACCOUNT
1. Obtain the domain name that is being hosted from the client in an email. Do not get it over the phone. A small spelling mistake in a site name means an expensive reorder of the site.
2. You need to order two services, hosting of the domain and pointing to a sub folder.
eg www.website.com
The site you are ordering is www.anz4tennis.com but it points to www.website.com/test. This cost $240 per year in 2009.
3. You may only need this domain for 3 months or so so it needs to be ordered for monthly billing.
4. You need to ask the client whether it is appropriate for Yart to own the domain. The reason you need to ask this is that when you order the domain it will ask you who owns it, who is the tech contact, billing contact etc.
5. If the client wants to own the domain, you need to get them to supply the details requested when you buy it eg ABN and so no.
6. Ask a sales guy at BlueCentral via the phone how to request this messy set up.
