We order SSL certificates from GoDaddy.com because they are a good economical provider of SSL. First, you need to send this email to the client:
Hi xxx,
I need some information about www.website.com for setting up the SSL.
I need to get this right as if we change it down the track it means getting a new SSL.
These fields will appear in the security settings of people browsers when viewing the site.

Organization: The name under which your business is legally registered. The listed organization must be the legal registrant of the domain name in the certificate request. If you are enrolling as an individual, please enter the certificate requestor's name in the "Organization" field, and the DBA (doing business as) name in the "Organizational Unit" field.
Organizational Unit: Optional. Use this field to differentiate between divisions within an organization. For example, "Engineering" or "Human Resources." If applicable, you may enter the DBA (doing business as) name in this field.

Any incorporated or limited liability company which is legally registered in the United States and verified with a registered status of "Good Standing," "Active" or equivalent.

Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) or registered "Doing Business As" (DBA) name which is legally registered in the U.S. and verified with a

Once you have them, follow these instructions on the Yart Server http://help.godaddy.com/topic/746/article/4800. When you are prompted for a filename, enter the site name without a path. This will save the SSL certificate on the desktop.
Go to www.godaddy.com and click My Account.

Order a SSL certificate from http://www.godaddy.com/ssl/ssl-certificates.aspx?ci=9039. Make sure it is a (ask Petras and fix this) SSL Certificate. Check on the fee proposal whether it is to be for 1, 2, or 3 years.
After paying go to "My Account"
Click on SSL Certificates, then on "Use Credit". This creates a postback and to the right of the screen you will see "Continue". Click on that.
If you don't see the certificate, refresh the page.
Click on the new certificate and then in the region to the right click on it there. This opens a new window where you can configure it.
Enter in the details.
At the end, there will be links to 2 PDFs that have to be signed by the client.
These documents need to be signed and either:
a) Scanned and emailed to evdocs@godaddy.com
b) Faxed to 480 393 5009
That is a US number so actual number is 0011 1 480 393 5009
Approval time is 3-4 days
Part 2
You will receive an email to download and install the certificate onto the server. Follow that instruction.
Now, on the last step of installing it, you will be asked to assign a binding to the site.
On this binding, you will add a HTTPS binding on port 443 for the new site.
Note that you cannot select All Unassigned as the IP Address because it will clash with existing SSL we've got:
208.43.2.120 - Control Panel, don't use
208.43.2.121 - Used by Cancer Trials
208.43.2.122 - The default for HTTP
208.43.2.123 - Used by Olivia Appeal (onj.com.au)
So cannot use the above IP addresses because they are already used. Select an unused one.
You can get a list of all IPs from www.serverintellect.com
From there log in: (Get details from Petras)
Go to Services->Server Manager
Click on the server.
Click on "Server Hardware" then "IP Addresses"
When you use one of the IPs listed here update the list above
